What are dissolving treatments?

The Dermal filler type that is most commonly used, in the UK, is Hyaluronic acid Dermal filler, known by various brand names such as Juvederm, Restylane, Teosyal, Stylarge, Alexin and Boletero to name a few. All of these are dissolvable dermal fillers. Hyaluronic acid Dermal filler can be dissolved by the injection of Hyaluronidase enzyme which takes around 1-2 weeks to work. There are many reasons that the filler has to be dissolved or has been requested to be dissolved.

As there is a small chance of allergic reaction of Hyaluronidase enzyme, a patch test by injecting a small amount of the enzyme into one of your arms is needed to eliminate the risk of the allergic reaction. You will need to wait 30 minutes at our location to see the result of the patch test. Signs of allergic reactions are swelling, rash and redness at the injection site. If there is no sign of allergy, the Hyaluronidase will be injected into the required areas.
